A veteran Bay Area caterer and restaurateur, Perez has earned many culinary awards and has twice represented Bay Area culinary talent at the James Beard Foundation in New York. An honors graduate of the California Culinary Academy, Perez teaches courses throughout the bay area and is in constant demand for winemaker dinners and charitable events.

As one of the most widely celebrated chefs in the Valley, Perez has been honored by Metro Silicon Valley as “Best Chef 2004”. In 2002, he was selected by the same publication as a top chef. He was also featured in the San Francisco's Chronicle and Examiner, the San Jose Mercury News and on the cover of Gentry Magazine. He has also been featured on KPIX's “Evening Magazine” television show and KRON 4's “Daybreak” show with Henry Tenenbaum.
